25 weeks

This past week my family and I all went to the beach (like we do every year). Last year I had my sister take maternity pictures of me on the beach when I was pregnant with ellie, well who knew I'd be pregnant again the following summer?! definitely not me....anyways, I thought it'd be sweet to have more beach maternity pictures and to have some under the same pier. It was only a quick 15 minute shoot, we are going to take some more when I am in PA over labor day.

the secrets out.....

 It's a BOY!!!!!!!!

Tuesday at 1 pm Josh, Ellie, and I headed to our OBGYN for our gender ultrasound. Needless to say we were really anticipating this one EXTRA! We decided to bring Ellie with us so she could share the excitement (even though she had no clue what was happening). Within the first 2 minutes the ultrasound tech said, "well, its obvious, its a boy!" we both looked at each other and teared up! I couldn't stop staring at the screen, it was my boy, and I could see the boy parts! This whole pregnancy when I'd talk about the baby I would say he and have to correct myself so I wouldn't get to attached to the thought of a boy. It was so nice to get the confirmation that my instincts were correct. When I took the pregnancy test for the first time I said to Josh, its a boy, I know it. He didn't want to get his hopes up so he kept saying it was a girl even though deep down he felt it was a boy. Honestly, we are so excited about a boy. I have to say, I am really glad that Ellie can be our only little girl for awhile longer :)

I'm still alive

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone still reads this blog anymore but in case anyone was wondering I'm still here! I guess I am terrible at multi-tasking. Being a wife, mama, working, and still having a life has left this blog very neglected! Ellie turned 8 months this month! I cannot believe how much time has flown by! she is the sweetest little nugget. I love her so much I feel like I could explode.

tee pee time

Lately I have been obsessed with the idea of making ellie a tee pee for when shes a little bit older. Having your own space for you and your friends when youre little is so much fun! I remember creating forts in the woods with my sister and having a playhouse in our back yard that we loved decorating with my cousins. I love all my fun memories from when I was little, I love creating memories and making keep sakes for ellie. Being a mom is so much fun :)

Heres a link to one that's easy to DIY - it's more of a tent like style
